Meals and Snacks

School Lunch

The school provides a FREE healthy lunch for Reception pupils to year 2, with plans to increase this provision soon.

You may be eligible for free school meals. Further information is in the forms section of our federation website.

Parents of Year 3-6 pupils are currently required to pay for their child's food using Parentpay. Information about cost, menu and how to pay can be found on the Ceredigion county council website. School Meals - Ceredigion County Council

Lunch box

If your child does not want a school lunch, you are welcome to provide a healthy packed lunch.

Please remember -

• Include healthy foods

• wash out your child's lunch box regularly

• put an ice pack in the lunch box to keep the food fresh

Water

Please provide a water bottle for your child. There is a water fountain available in the school for refills.

It is not permitted to bring juice or fizzy drinks to school.

Remember to wash the bottle regularly.

 

Milk

Milk is provided for all children from reception to year 2 to drink daily. If your child is allergic to milk, inform the school.

 

Snack

Provide a piece of fruit/vegetables for your child to eat during the day.

Here are some ideas:

Fresh fruit/vegetables – orange, raspberry, banana, apple, melon, strawberry, carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, olives,

Dried fruit – raisins, apricots, cranberries, dried tomato, nuts

Pickled vegetables - pickles,
